Dr. Cherry is the Founder & President of Concurrent Financial Planning, LLC, a comprehensive financial planning firm that helps households and business owners achieve Life Money Balance™.
Dr. Cherry serves as Assistant Professor of Finance and Head of the Personal Financial Planning Program at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay. His research surrounds personality traits and financial uncertainty risks. Over 14 years, he has served in lead financial planning roles and RIA co-investment manager of $120M in firm assets. Dr. Cherry has also served in institutional retirement sales, as a mutual fund wholesaler, and serves as a financial advisor coach for Carson Group Coaching.
His degrees include an MS and Ph.D. in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University, B.B.A. in Finance from Prairie View A & M University and serves as President for the Financial Therapy Association, serves on the CFP Board Council on Education, and the Boards of the Association of African American Advisors Foundation, and the Green Bay Economic Development for the Green Bay Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Cherry also serves on the Partners Committee for the Wisconsin Chapter of Financial Planning Association. He has been published in the Wall Street Journal, NerdWallet, The New York Magazine blog The Cut, and The Motley Fool
Austin Hatch has survived two plane crashes, both of which claimed family members including his parents. Austin had to search to find the answer as to how he could thrive despite the adversity he faced. He went on to play basketball at The University of Michigan and is now a full-time motivational speaker with a powerful message of applying grit to our daily lives.
We all face challenges and Austin’s story of overcoming unimaginable loss is a source of inspiration for anyone who seeks to grow from adversity.

Holz will share in intimate detail about some of his “first times”, both personal and professional, revealing the true value of what we do as professionals and as NAIFA members. His State of NAIFA Address will also highlight NAIFA’s prolific advocacy history.
Jeff Butler is an author and workplace strategist who explores human behavior within the working world. His experience spans over 40 industries in 4 continents on how different cultures and employees interact with each other.
He studies common threads of behavior in industries such as IT professionals, underground utility workers, police officers to clothing retail chains. In addition, companies like Google, Amazon, John Deere, and Coldwell Banker. As a researcher and practitioner, he also runs a consulting company and a tech company, TrinityFix where he is able to test his ideas in different workplace environments. His ideas have made it to TEDx twice, appeared in dozens of media outlets including two books on human behavior:- The Authentic Workplace and The Key To The New You .
Currently, he lives in Dallas, Texas as an out of place Californian.
