A Message from President Richard Balch, CFP, CLU, RICP
By Richard Balch, CFP, CLU, RICP on 4/1/25 7:09 PM
Happy April, NAIFA-Wisconsin!
As your Wisconsin Chapter President, I’m excited to share what our chapter has in store for 2025. The Board has been hard at work, and I’d like to highlight some key updates.
Since taking office in January, we approved a balanced budget and renewed our contract with Schreiber Government Relations Group for another two years to align with Wisconsin’s biannual budget cycle. In February, we welcomed ten new members—if you’re one of them, welcome to NAIFA-WI! We’re thrilled to have you on board.

Kristin Alfheim Sworn in as Wisconsin State Senator
By NAIFA-Wisconsin on 1/7/25 7:22 PM
On January 6, 2025, NAIFA member Kristin Alfheim, CLTC, RICP, proudly took the oath of office as Wisconsin State Senator representing the 18th District in Appleton. Reflecting on her journey, Kristin shared, "I cut my teeth in advocacy with NAIFA, and I will always be grateful for the skills and friendships I've gained as a member."
A dedicated NAIFA member since 2004, Kristin has held numerous leadership roles at both local and state levels, including serving as NAIFA-Wisconsin President in 2019. As a graduate of the Leadership in Life Institute (LILI) and recipient of the Financial Security Advocate badge, Kristin has exemplified a commitment to professional growth and service.
We are incredibly proud to celebrate Senator Alfheim as one of NAIFA's own and are confident she will excel in representing her constituents and making a positive impact in the Wisconsin Legislature.

Trump wins Wisconsin; Trump wins Presidency
Several polls over the weekend showed a neck-and-neck race for the presidency in Wisconsin, and both candidates spent a lot of time campaigning in the state over the past few weeks. With a sweeping set of victories across the battleground states, including Wisconsin, Trump declared victory in the presidential election early Wednesday morning.
