Since joining NAIFA in 2023, Melanie has quickly become an active and engaged member of NAIFA-Wisconsin. She joined the NAIFA-Wisconsin Board of Directors in 2025 as YAT Chair, then as a Director in 2026, and is a regular participant in chapter activities and events. Melanie has also demonstrated a strong commitment to advocacy, representing our profession on Capitol Hill at two NAIFA Congressional Conferences.

NAIFA-Wisconsin is proud to spotlight member Brendon DeRouin, CLU, LACP, ChFC, RICP, who recently appeared on the Larry Meiller Show on Wisconsin Public Radio to share practical insights on saving for retirement, investing, and building long-term financial security.

With years of experience helping advisors help their clients plan for their financial future, Brendon brought a wealth of knowledge to the conversation. He discussed strategies for getting started with retirement savings, how to make the most of employer-sponsored retirement plans, and the importance of diversification when investing. He also touched on timely topics such as navigating market volatility and preparing for healthcare expenses in retirement.

As your Wisconsin Chapter President, I’m excited to share what our chapter has in store for 2025. The Board has been hard at work, and I’d like to highlight some key updates.

Since taking office in January, we approved a balanced budget and renewed our contract with Schreiber Government Relations Group for another two years to align with Wisconsin’s biannual budget cycle. In February, we welcomed ten new members—if you’re one of them, welcome to NAIFA-WI! We’re thrilled to have you on board.
