Trump wins Wisconsin; Trump wins Presidency 

Several polls over the weekend showed a neck-and-neck race for the presidency in Wisconsin, and both candidates spent a lot of time campaigning in the state over the past few weeks. With 99% of the vote in, Trump has a 29,000-vote lead over Harris in Wisconsin. With a sweeping set of victories across the battleground states, including Wisconsin, Trump declared victory in the presidential election early Wednesday morning.

After a long time in rehabilitation with a moratorium in place, Colorado Bankers Life Insurance Company will be placed in liquidation effective 11-30-2024.

Mark Miller, the Advocacy Chair for NAIFA-Wisconsin, recently met with Congressman Derrick Van Orden over lunch. They discussed key issues impacting Advisors and their Clients, with a focus on expanding 529 plans to support workforce development. They also addressed the new CMS ruling affecting NAIFA members and Medicare participants. Congressman Van Orden expressed his commitment to pursuing these important issues in Washington, D.C., and expressed gratitude for the valuable insights provided by NAIFA members like Mark Miller.

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has declared September 2024 as Life Insurance Awareness Month.
