Our Real Life Stories program has helped motivate people to buy insurance for 20+ years. These stories highlight the role insurance has played in helping families and businesses in times of great financial need, along with the insurance professionals who have helped them. None of the people featured in our stories could have anticipated the challenges they’d face. However, smart insurance planning ensured that emotional struggles weren’t compounded by financial hardship.

On February 1, 2025, NAIFA-Wisconsin former member and former executive director, Chuck Stumpf, CLU, ChFC, passed away at the age of 93.
On January 6, 2025, NAIFA member Kristin Alfheim, CLTC, RICP, proudly took the oath of office as Wisconsin State Senator representing the 18th District in Appleton. Reflecting on her journey, Kristin shared, "I cut my teeth in advocacy with NAIFA, and I will always be grateful for the skills and friendships I've gained as a member."
A dedicated NAIFA member since 2004, Kristin has held numerous leadership roles at both local and state levels, including serving as NAIFA-Wisconsin President in 2019. As a graduate of the Leadership in Life Institute (LILI) and recipient of the Financial Security Advocate badge, Kristin has exemplified a commitment to professional growth and service.
We are incredibly proud to celebrate Senator Alfheim as one of NAIFA's own and are confident she will excel in representing her constituents and making a positive impact in the Wisconsin Legislature.
