Welcome to 2024! It is my pleasure to serve as President of NAIFA-Wisconsin this year. As you renew your members this year, and recruit your colleagues as new members, remember that advocacy is a central part of what we do. Without a strong industry advocate, legislators and regulators can implement policies that harm our business. No other topic highlights this better than NAIFA's opposition to the Department of Labor's rehashed Fiduciary Rule. This reintroduced proposal will eliminate consumer choice and put at risk the ability of middle-class Americans to access financial advice. NAIFA will continue to lead the fight against this proposal.

Our State Chapter provides great opportunities to get involved through our NAIFA Live Watch Parties, book studies, golf outing, social events, and our Signature Event, the Power Summit and Advocacy Day. Power Summit and Advocacy Day will be held on April 16-17 at the Madison Concourse Hotel. We have an exciting line-up of speakers and events, so watch for registration to open in the next few weeks.
