Join us Thursday, April 21st from 3:00 - 5:00 pm for this Virtual Collaborative Learning Event - LGBTQ+ Planning and How to Create a More Inclusive Environment.
A person’s financial experiences are intrinsically linked to other pieces of their identities. Race, gender, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation can more directly shape an individual’s life and financial experience. Even with new federal protections against workplace discrimination now in place and same-sex marriage recognized as a legal right in the United States, members of the LGBTQ+ community often face unique financial considerations. This session will provide an overview of financial planning opportunities that are unique to the LGBTQ+ community and will provide a framework for providing sensitive and inclusive LGBTQ+ financial planning.
A few days prior to the event you will receive a confirmation notice with the case study. During the virtual event you’ll be randomly assigned to a breakout room and collaboratively your group will discuss concerns and develop solutions. We’ll share findings and hear from expert.
